 Do you care about the state of brownfields in other countries, from Western Europe to Russia to South and Latin America to the Pacific Rim? Or more specifically, do you care about reading about it in your Brownfield journal for the record (that would be this one)?
It’s an interesting question because on the one hand, if there’s any viable takeaways or real application for stakeholders in North America to become inspired by activities abroad, then certainly let’s read all about it. What’s the latest effort in western Europe on everything from wind and solar power development to transportation development? Are multi-use projects prevalent on the global stage? Do redevelopments on landfills, abandoned railroads and auto plants come into play?

A property located on a bank of the East River and in a densely developed residential and commercial area, had its work cut out for it from an environmental remediation standpoint. The mission was to clean up the land and ultimately make one puzzle piece to a larger urban revitalization project that would be redeveloped as a public library and park ranger station.
