The Franklin Bank Mine Reclamation Project, Ashley, Pa., was one of the 30-plus projects nominated for a Brownfield Renewal award in 2010. A property located on a bank of the East River and in a densely developed residential and commercial area, had its work cut out for it from an environmental remediation standpoint.
