Southern Report: Landfill Could Make a Splash

Perhaps it’s our extended hours at work or the
rush of the world in general, but it appears we are making greater efforts
to escape from the daily grind. There is a growing demand for outdoor
recreation and the creation of whitewater parks is helping to fill that
need.
The Mississippi Whitewater Park Development
Corporation has noted that approximately 34 whitewater parks have been
completed or are currently under construction in the United States. Now add
to that list a proposed whitewater course along the Barren River in Bowling
Green, Kentucky.
