Clearly, Mantua Township’s commitment is the
driving force behind the successful completion of its Phase I assessment (a
“PA” under NJDEP regulations) and its work with the NBA STAMP
panel and the NJDEP, to produce an adoptable reuse master plan. But the
commitment of the community and other planning participants, like
Congressmen Robert Andrews and Frank LoBiondo, cannot stop—not after
the selection of a redeveloper nor after ground is broken.
Why? Because the redevelopment itself is not yet a
reality and, as Abraham Lincoln once said, “Commitment is what turns
a promise into reality.”
