Green Building Report
Features
(focus)
How developers and other stake holders in the industry are able to create a blueprint to facilitate and  anable projects, starting with site selection and using economic tools to identify when, where and how to embark upon projects. Report will also emphasize such vital enabling factors such as financing considerations - "capital catalysts" such as tax incentives, loans and grants and finding right-sized environmental insurance packages.
Progress that has been made one year after the new EPA was installed. How are the various administrators faring in their quest to champion the cause for energy-oriented, green-buildoriented
and transportation-oriented developments. Are capital funds going to flow freely in 2010 and to whom? What can developers, engineers, architects and all those with a Brownfield stake expects from the Beltway?

What is the gold standard of green building strategies-what innovations are driving this effort in the quest to attain LEED excellence? Everyone's familiar with the emergence of innovations like "green roofs" and water recycling efforts-all important. However, there are a multitude of underlying elements that must support this effort, and will be examined to determine key opportunities for industry participants.

Playing the Field
Features
(focus)
What lessons can U.S. developers learn from the brownfield projects being executed in Canada, Mexico, Europe and elsewhere? What are the differences and similarities between the Lower 48 brownfield movements and those abroad? Using a global lens, we'll examine real estate availability, funding, pollution/remediation necessities and private-public collaboration that contribute to successful brownfield
renewal.

While innovations such as solarpowered buses, green taxi cabs and light rail initiatives are the ones that stand out when the conversation of TOD is broached, this is just the tip of the iceberg of the overall TOD spectrum. In addition to the "clean and green" we'll take a close look at emerging innovations and how they might help serve as leverage tools for brownfield development projects.

An examination of the many factors that engineers, soil/groundwater testers, haulers, and others need to know as a game plan around putting a property back in play is established. We'll be looking at what tools and technologies are helping facilitate and enlighten their course of action, including specific opportunities
and adoption rates of green and sustainable remediation tools, gas barriers and venting systems, just to name a few.
